Quality Engineer for Electrical and Lighting Systems

Our client is a major manufacturer and distributor of Electrical and lighting systems. They require a Quality Electrical Engineer to drive the superior quality levels of products, services and suppliers for EMEA clients.

Key Accountabilities

1. Creation, reporting and overall ownership of quality metrics for the EA facility to drive results to goal levels
2. Daily activities at the distribution facility (including investigations and permanent corrective actions, audits, RGAs and SQA)
3. Investigation and resolution of field product quality issues, including liaising with customers
4. Work with team leaders to drive achievement of quality targets in respective departments
5. Works with US headquarters to ensure visibility on EMEA quality levels, consistency of processes and metrics, and resolution or product quality issues
6. Driving continuous improvement and standard work by driving process improvements and updating documentation to reflect the new standard process
7. Creating the culture of quality in the EA facility required to meet and achieve quality objectives
8. Development of the local supplier base to ensure world class quality in purchased components and outsourced services
9. Supervision and career development of team members

Person Specification

1. Degree in Electronic Engineering
2. Minimum 3 years work experience in the Engineering/Manufacturing sector a leader with passion for excellence and a strong sense of ownership who will relentlessly drive the quality agenda and act as client’s quality ambassador in EMEA.
3. Superior communication and influencing skills, across departments and regions
4. High level of problem solving and attention to details
