ELECTRONIC DESIGN - FPGA ENGINEER

Salary up to 60k + bens

Location Buckinghamshire

Our client  offers high technology engineering solutions in aeronautical, energy and ground transportation. In order to develop and expand the capabilities of our client in the UK we are looking for engineers to develop the Systems activities.

You will complete activities around Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Design. The role will be key to successfully manage the FPGA Work for our aerospace customer.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the completion of FPGA activities on schedule and to required processes and standards: physical and post layout verification, coding, documentation and design from time to time.

- Ensure a high level of quality regarding the technical aspects of the Project, by monitoring and reviewing output to ensure the work conformity with applicable procedures

- Support other tasks to meet time, cost and quality targets set by our aerospace customer

Candidate skills & requirements

You have a Degree level or equivalent, MSc preferred, in either Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Micro-electronics.

Essential skills:

- FPGA or ASIC verification & design experience

- Ability to work to tight, demanding deadlines and customer demands

- Team spirit/Ability to work effectively within an integrated project team

- Customer focused/Ability to establish credibility with internal and external customers

- Excellent written and oral Communication skills

Desirable skills:

- Knowledge of Aldec or Mentor would be a significant advantage 

- FPGA experience acquired in a DO-254 environment or similar (e.g. space, nuclear or rail) 

- Experience of FPGA applications in electrical motor control or electrical power systems
